It's rare - the same way that I like my steak; but it's so awesome to see that good people still exist in this world.
In the prime destinations of grocery stores like Superstore, Costco, Wal-Mart, etc., it's natural that line ups would be long at every till. A lot of times, people will have their entire carts loaded with hundreds of dollars worth of groceries and other things that they need to get. And for any mother, or anyone that has done grocery shopping, you will know that sometimes these lineup waits get ridiculously long. Because they are so long, you usually second guess yourself to going to these stores if you only need a couple of items.
However, when I see someone with a huge load of things that they need to pay for let someone with only three items ahead of them, they have earned all the respect I can offer. It's so rare to see these kinds of people these days, which is why they invented the express and self check out lanes. So, it makes my day that someone would be this kind. I firmly believe that it is the little things like this in life that make it worth living. Because of it, someone like me who could get inspired by witnessing this, I could come across a situation like this in the future where I could do the same and allow someone ahead of me if they only have a couple things. Hopefully that when I'm blessed with this opportunity, it will inspire someone else the same way it helped me so that they could continue this cycle of positivity in their time. I think that when this event happened, it wasn't just me that was in awe; you could take a look around and everyone that saw it seemed to have a strange look on their face. I don't know what they were thinking at the time, but I'm sure this will stick with them for a while.
Definitely worth the try, if you ask me.
