Armageddon

I couldn't resist the temptations of blogging two days in a row. So, let me ask you this: how do you enter a battle that you know you're going to lose?

Yep, my brother had asked my dad that question over dinner one night, in reference to this upcoming Sunday. What's going on this Sunday, you might ask? Armageddon is happening this Sunday - for the Chinese congregation, that is. The youthful energy that is brought from the English congregation will bring the pain and demolish the Chinese congregation in, none other than, a floor hockey game.

Yes, it's hilarious how the most casual conversation could turn into the start of a best of three sports competition in a church. People say that people within the church should be friendly towards each other, like a family. Well, we should; but in this case, the battle will be won before it's even started. The Chinese congregation - more specifically my dad - challenged the English side to a game of floor hockey. It took a while to materialize, but it's going down! The ACT at Rundle Park is going to be a slaughter house for three and a half hours on Sunday afternoon.

This event has been promoted for a few weeks now, and honestly, I don't know what to expect, come Sunday. There could be 10 people from the English side, or there could be 40. It's more likely that there will be 40, but I am not going to expect to be playing a whole lot anyway. And, this seems like it should be an easy victory for the English; but we never know what will happen. So, that's why I am so excited for this game.

I think I'm only going to get about four or five shifts in the three hour span and play a total of about 10 to 15 minutes, but that's okay; it's all for fun anyways.

So my predictions are that I will score 3 goals. I never count my assists because I get so many, I lose count. Seriously!

Also, today was a productive day for me; so it leaves me pretty satisfied at the end of the day. Not everything may turn out the way I hope, but I've done everything in my power, and I'll just hope for the best.

Happy Wednesday, the day of the week where there is no good TV on!
