Another Winding Down

The Olympics have begun! I am so glad I have a few days in between things that I need to do. This will allow me to just park myself in front of my TV and watch the games all day long!

This past week, we were blessed to have AIA come to our church to host a soccer camp again. I always look forward to this week because it allows me to exercise, get my soccer skills into somewhat of a shape, and meet new coaches! Aside from some iffy weather, I had a great week. The kids continue to make me happy as a person, and I love spending time with them way too much.

Last Thursday, I gave my two weeks at the golf course I am working at. I do feel pretty bad, considering I took all of this week off for soccer camp, and so I only go back for three shifts in the latter stages of next week. It's definitely been a cool opportunity to work at Legends, but I just need some time off; add to the fact that I'll be coaching for a week with AIA at SEAC.

Looking forward to these things also inevitably mean that the school year is drawing nearer already. Leaving this time might be almost as hard as when I first left two years ago because this is likely the last summer I'll spend in Edmonton before I start a new chapter in my life. As I've stated, my plan is to begin my internship next May and go right through to December. If the internship is in anywhere other than Edmonton, I don't get to come back. It's sad, but it's also a probable reality.

So, with that being said, my summer has less than a month less. I'll be going to Vancouver for about 10 days to visit family at the end of August. Do I really want to go? Not really, but seeing as I haven't been in Vancouver in 4 years (minus a weekend where I went to a wedding), it is probably right that I do go.

So, with a couple days left of July, I do hope to make the most of it; and when August rolls around, it'll begin the countdown once again.
