Good Life

Well, now that we've had two days of real summer, I'm more or less satisfied. I think playing soccer in the blazing sun with a bunch of friends is the best thing to do. Sure, most of us are horribly out of shape, but that's what makes it so fun. Strangely enough, my lungs might be out, but my muscles don't seem to be bad even though I'm not exercising regularly. When we finished, I still probably could've played for another hour.

I also find it strange that at this age, my brain and body seem to be at its best in planning and executing. I don't have the best skills, but when I'm carrying the ball, I have a better sense of what I want to do with it - it's the same in hockey. Going back just a couple years, whenever I got the ball, I'd just run the heck out of my lungs and try to get a scoring chance. It's pretty cool, you should try it!

World cup has also started this past Friday, and I don't like that if I want to watch a game, I have to wake up really early! But then again, the World Cup is almost always held in the other side of the world, so I don't really get to choose. For the record, I am cheering for Brazil; I have been cheering for them since the '98 world cup; unfortunately, they had to lose to France, but it's all good because they won the next time. I don't think they'll win this time - I'm guessing Spain is favored - but I'm not the one that's watching this event because there are some hot soccer players. Yes, I think I just called out approximately 14% of all World Cup viewers. And you know who you are!

Anyways, as summer holidays approach closer and closer, I am getting more excited everyday even though I never had to go through the process of school/work up to the point of having the summer holidays meaning freedom.

Grab a ball, and let's play some soccer! Anytime.
