I am so professional that I can induce jetlag to myself without having to fly halfway around the planet. Actually, truth is, that since we had our little annual 30 hour famine thing at church, many of us did not sleep during the night. Let me begin with that.
So shortly after AWANA, all the kids started to leave, the older generation started to leave, and the ones left over at church were the ones that were taking part of or joined with the 30 hour famine event. It was a lot of fun and I purposely made sure I was wearing black on the day of it, because I knew we would be doing events where it was pitch black; pretty smart, eh? So lots of us ended up staying up for the entire night until early Saturday morning when people started to come to church again. I haven't done an all nighter in a few years so it was pretty difficult for me to keep my eyes open by the time it got to 7 or 8 in the morning. I had a lot of fun and I hope everyone else did too. I think the only thing that surprised me was that when we played sardines, no one could find me. I sat there in a pretty obvious spot thinking people would find me in no time, but everyone just walked right past me and I got bored. I almost fell asleep, thank goodness I heard Phil say the game was over, or I really might have fallen asleep in that corner. Other than that, it was the typical get together over night kind of thing.. I watched about 2 minutes of Twilight and I couldn't take the movie; it was just that awful. Later at around 3 or something, we watched Bolt, and it wasn't too bad.
So then I went home later that morning at 9 ish and I fell asleep on my bed around 9:30 and slept for a few hours. I woke up because I was hungry, so I ate lunch, then I got tired again at around 3, so I went to bed again. Then I woke up for supper, haha. I love the automatic internal alarm I have for meal times. So then after supper, it felt like the day was just getting started for me, which was pretty weird seeing that the sky was getting dark. So I decided to take advantage of my energy and I managed to duke out the second half of my essay! I must admit, I did not expect that my essay would be finished by Sunday morning. Mind you that it is still a horribly written essay and I won't get more than 60% on it, but it's better than not doing it, which is what I considered doing a week earlier.
Later in the day of Sunday, a few of us gathered at a friends house for a birthday party; it was also pretty fun. Wii shopping had never been more fun to me, ever. Maybe it's because I've never done Wii shopping before. But I think they should put Chrono Trigger on it, then I'd buy it on my Wii for sure!
Well, a few things on my mind before the week starts: I love how the Oilers are in 10th place now, Tavares, here we come! All the grade school people get spring break; I want spring break; but I cannot complain as I only have a week and a half of school left. This should be an interesting week coming up ahead as we get to look ahead to another hockey game next Saturday night!
Now, I gotta get to bed a little earlier to get rid of this jetlag, haha.
